Parent Orientation Meeting

Feeling a little overwhelmed? Unsure what scouting is about and what comes next? The Parent Orientation is for you!
Where: Ross Community United Methodist Church (map and directions can be found by clicking the "Meeting Locations" link at left).
When: Thursday, September 21st, 7:00 pm.

All parents who are new to scouting are strongly encouraged to come to this meeting! There will be a presentation explaining the program, followed by a Q&A session where we will assign Den numbers and determine Den meeting times. See you there!

1. Ross Local City Schools - All Evening Activities Cancelled
2. Butler County - Level 3 Snow Emergency

*NOTE* The meeting will be held in the meeting room at the Millville Firehouse, making it easier for us to serve food.

Fishing Derby NOTE: TIME CHANGE

We're having a Fishing derby!

When: October 9th, 1:00pm - 3:00pm <-Note the new time!
Where: Mehl's Pond
Directions: (from Rt. 27) On New London, drive 1500 feet West. The drive is on the right as you start up the hill.

Bring your fishing gear or share with others! You can use worms or artificial bait. Please, no minnows!

Please Carpool - there is minimal parking! There is a Gazebo, picnic table, and a fire pit. There are no bathrooms. Wear casual clothes - it can be muddy!

Habitat Hike

Come join us for a hike! Hamilton County parks is organizing a Habitat Hike on Sunday, 1:00pm August 14th at the Tallgrass Prarie Trail in Miami Whitewater Forest. The hike will hilight three different habitats along the trail and some of the animals that live there. map of park

Float Building Day

Saturday June 25th will be the day we build our entry in Hamilton's 2005 4th of July Parade.

When: 10:00am to 2:00pm
Where: Ross Community United Methodist Church

Make sure to wear OLD clothing! It is likely that someone will end up with paint on their clothes before the day is over!

Memorial Day Parade - May 30th

Come march in the Ross Memorial Day Parade! Wear your uniform, and show up at the Venice Presbyterian Church by 9:30am on Monday May 30th.

This will be the first time we get to show off our Pack's new banner!

The parade usually starts at the Presbyterian church, and ends in a ceremony at the graveyard.

Blue & Gold Banquet

The Blue & Gold Banquet is coming, and this year promises to be something special. Families are invited to join us for a night of good food and good fun!

This will also be the evening when we celebrate our Webelos II scouts crossing over to become boy scouts. They have worked very hard for several years, and it has paid off!
